Honouring the Wisdom of our Elders

People listen...

I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this course being offered through the University of Toronto's "Institute for Life Course and Aging". Registration came along with the disclosure the it would only be offered if there was sufficient enrolment. So I am very happy to say that I am in the first week of it's offerings and am finding many kindred spirits;) 

How would you define wisdom? It's something that is universally acknowledged but challenging to put your finger on. Is it necessarily a part of getting older? One of the ways we have been encouraged to reflect on what it means personally, is to think of people you attribute  to being wise...

I have used Robert's study before but I return to him with this in mind. An accomplished man as a mediator etc. who replied when asked why he spoke so softly said, "People listen"...
