3/10/2022 0 Comments Remembering BabaMy grandparents, my Babas and Gidos, all immigrated from the Ukraine in the early part of the 1900's to start over again. They left their homeland because life in Canada seemed more hopeful than the tyranny of the dictator. How sad that we are seeing that yet again. This is my mother's mother. She never really learned to speak English that well so I didn't know her in that way but I knew her by the way she led her life until she was in her late nineties. She bore many children, always had a vegetable garden and a ready smile. I am ever grateful for their strength, resilience and humility.
