International Day of the Older Person, Oc.t 1

Oct. 1 was deemed International Day of the Older Person by the United Nations Assembly in 1990! It continues to be relatively unrecognized:( It was very important for me to have my project showing for 'Between the Lines' include that date. Harcourt House gallery was kind enough to open their doors on a Sunday so the closing day of this project could be on Oct. 1.
It was a very gratifying day for me. There were over 80 visitors and 14 of those were actual sitters! Jack Bawden was gracious enough to attend with his trusty camera to capture some grand photo ops!

Just a few of the very special moments and people. It was the best experience I have had to date with art making and meaning making. Ageing is a fluid experience and very personal. Be open to growth and ascend to your full and mighty potential.
