Wabi Sabi

The term wabi sabi connotes such qualities as impermanence, humility, asymmetry and imperfection. This is diametrically opposed to the Greco Roman ideology of strength, youth and symmetry which the western concept of human beauty is founded.
Even though wabi sabi originates to describe objects, I believe it is an ideal lens to capture the evolution of human beauty as we age.
